Documents missing after iOS 11 update

I’ve looked everywhere for information on this, but can’t find it.

When I updated my iPad to iOS 11 some of my documents in pages are not loading. I don’t have them backed up on iCloud or anywhere else. How do I get them back? The ones with just the pen icon will not load or copy or move or save.

Try backing up to iTunes to see if your files will appear in iTunes. From there you can download onto your computer and re-add them via iTunes to your iPad or iOS device.
