Why is my audio switching from a Scarlett 2i2 i...

Hey guys,

I'm using a early 2013 MacBook Pro-Retina 15', which is running version 10.12.6. I've had a Scarlett 2i2 for a while now which I use for recording and in general, and ever since I first began using it I haven't had any issues whatsoever. Lately, whenever I watch either the WWE Network or BBC iPlayer the sound will revert back to the internal speakers, yet Youtube and other things work perfectly fine. It works perfectly if I plug the headphones directly into the MacBook but that eliminates using the 2i2. I've looked at all of the help I can find on any similar instances and nothing seems to work.
