Why does it want my Social Security Number???????
I think I might be done with Apple if you now require this level of personal information!!
No Apple system requires your social security number. What are you trying to do?
Dear Client,
This is an automatic message by the system to let you know that you have to confirm your account information within 48 hours. Your account has been frozen temporarily in order to protect it.
The account will continue to be frozen until it is approved And Validate Your Account Information.
Once you have updated your account records, your information will be confirmed and your account will start to work as normal once again.
This will help protect you in the future. The process does not take more than 3 minutes.
To proceed to confirm your account information please click on the link below and follow the instructions that will be required.
For more information, see our frequently asked questions.
Thanks,

After this promt it asked for the securty code for my visa and then asked for my complete visa informaion and social securty
You received a scam e-mail, commonly known as phishing. It did not come from Apple at all.
The fact that the 'Verify Now' link takes you to a non-Apple domain should have been a hint.
Look at this website at https://www.apple.com/privacy/
This is a line of that : In the U.S., we may ask for your Social Security number (SSN) but only in limited circumstances such as when setting up a wireless account and activating your iPhone or when determining whether to extend commercial credit.
I would contact apple at 1-800-MY-APPLE and ask if Apple sends out that stuff to Customers. That might just be a scam to get you to give out your personal information.
I'm pretty sure it's a scam because Apple does not (of what I remember) call their customers "Client".
Anny emails from Apple will always be addressed from Apple.com. If it's not, it's not from Apple.
Hover over the Verify Now links adn look in the status bar at bottom, you will see it goes to gtocorp,co.th, not Apple.com
Yeah, it's a scam.
Actually I had same question it ask for my SSI number to verify my account it said someone tried to log in from an different IP address which it wasn't me ... do they need that I don't remember ever giving apple my SSI number
Anyone asking for your SSI number is a criminal and it is an attempt to scam you.
Why is apple asking me for my social security and d.o.b to verify my identity????
Are you sure it is Apple who are asking?

Apple will never ask you for that information. A criminal is asking you to voluntarily disclose it, so that your identity can be stolen and sold.
Ignore the request. Read Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support.
This is not a Real Apple website right?
It is not an Apple site.
