Why are uploaded files still showing the little...

I have lots of files stored in iCloud, not synced with any device. Just archived. But when I look at some them of via iCould Drive on my iMac (late 2013, macOS High Sierra) the little cloud symbol is shown:

But these very small files were all uploaded weeks ago, and if I go to iCloud.com I can see them and download them, they´ve been properly uploaded:

From iCloud Drive on my Mac I can drag and copy them to my Desktop and open them without any problem. So why are they showing the cloud symbol when they've obviously been uploaded, and is there a way to get rid of them or should I just not worry and ignore them? I find it rather confusing if not to say irritating! Otherwise Calendar, Notes, Reminders and Contacts are all synced perfectly between my iMac and iPhone! Thanks for any help/suggestions!
