When syncing my iphone and ipad to my computer,...

I don't quite know how to describe this, but there used to be pictures of each page of my screen when I synced my iphone and ipad to my computer with itunes. That was how I places the app icons on the page where I wanted them. I now can't find those pictures, and I wanted to move an icon from one screen page to a different one. When I search for this, I just get hits on missing icons, but not about the whole sync page gone.

In Apple’s infinite wisdom, that functionality has been removed in iTunes 12.7. You can still manually manage apps in iTunes but you can no longer arrange them or connect to the App Store in iTunes 12.7.

No. Those instructions cover apps as well. I think that you might be missing the bigger point here. You really can’t manage apps the way that you used to in earlier versions of iTunes. You can still add apps onto your device that are still in your iTunes media folder, but you cannot arrange apps, create folders or sync apps like you used to do.

Manually add items from your computer

If you have media on your computer that you can't redownload from the App Store or iTunes Store directly on your iOS device, such as custom ringtones or iOS apps, you can drag and drop the media from your computer to your iOS device using iTunes.

1. Connect your device to your computer.
2. Open iTunes. Make sure that you have the latest version.
3. On your computer, find the item you want to add to your device. If you're looking for Apps, Tones, or Books (for Windows) that previously appeared in your iTunes library, you can find them in your iTunes media folder.
4. Drag the item from your computer to your iOS device in the left sidebar of iTunes.
