Macbook Pro 13in 8gb ram or 16gb for programming

Would a Macbook Pro 13in with 8gb ram be enough for iOS programming and having multiple users or would I need 16gb ram for xcode and other ide because I program a bit of Java, C++, and C# also. I also wanted to know is the touch bar any good on the Macbook Pro since this will be my first Apple Mac product other than the iPod Touch.

If you expect multiple user accounts on the computer then get 16GBs. If it's just you then 8GBs is adequate. I don't have a Touch bar model and won't comment. But what do you mean by "is the touch bar any good ..."?

I should of worded that part it a little differently. I know the touch bar works great with many first party apple apps but, what about third party apps because, I've tried it out at a Best Buy and personally I think it is okay but, I was told by a employee at the Best Buy that most third party apps don't support it because it is a gimmick.
