Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE can't send/receiv...

Hi there,

I just bought an Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE and activated it through ATT. I added the watch as a wearable to my account with a second number, and then used NumberSync to connect the two numbers.

I decided to try out the LTE feature so I went outside and put my phone on Airplane mode. I looked at my watch and by swiping down the control center, I saw that I had cellular on and I had several bars. I was able to make a phone call, but text messages wont go through and neither does anything that attempts to use data (such as trying to check my email). I checked the watch settings to see if iMessage was enabled, and it is. Any idea what could be going on?

I checked my ATT account and it says I have used 0 data through the wearable. Something is not right. Right now I'm paying extra for a watch that cannot use LTE for any practical purpose.
