nike run club app apple watch 3

Quick question..ive got the new nike apple watch 3,not the LTE version..on the nike run club app with new voice guided runs,they say the runs are linked to a spotify playlist..

Would i be right in assuming if i run with just my watch as i dont want my iphone ,i can do the voice guided run but wont be able to listen to the playlist..
