Oily Airport on Mid 2012 MacBook Pro 15" with R...
Hello guys,
Yesterday after I opened my MacBook Pro to clean it up from the accumulated dust and lint, I found out that my airport looks all oily.
I have never spilled any liquid on it.
Everything seems to work fine, no issues with my wifi connection.
Do you have any idea what could cause this oil film?
Do you use it in a kitchen where they fry with lots of oil.. a fan on a device will draw in this oil rich air and layer it over everything..
Cannot really think of any other source.. but this is really the wrong area to post.. this is airport routers.. you are talking about the airport wireless card inside your computer.. you would be better posting in the laptop hardware area.
I don't use it in the kitchen. I use it mainly in the office.
Sorry about the wrong placement, I am still new to the community.
Is there a way to move it to the hardware area or should I repost it there?
