Sudden latency issues, please help!

I've been using the Scarlett 2i4 for a while now, with my Macbook Pro Retina Mid-2012 (which runs pretty smoothly). I setup my buffer size when I first got the interface to 64 which resulted in almost no latency when recording.

Last night I plugged in my guitar to jam and out of nowhere there's a slight latency which is frustrating. I've tried a new session with no plug-ins, setting the buffer size to 32, tried low latency mode as well but hasn't helped the situation.

Is there anything I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated! Cheers!

Obviously something changed, did you upgrade the operating system, did you upgrade Logic? Have you installed the Low Latency patch that Focusrite released for Mac OS, if so, you will probably need to remove it. Also, check with Focusrite, they may have a firmware upgrade or even a downgrade, someone had posted about problems with that same interface and Focusrite sent them a firmware to install which fixed the problem.

The important part is what if anything changed between when it worked without latency and now. Have you tried unplugging the Scarlett, turning off the computer wait 30 seconds, restart, let it settle. If you have the computer set to auto-upgrade it's a mistake when using Logic and audio hardware, it's an invitation to problems.
