Changing over from MacBook 2015 to MacBook 2017

I having been using the MacBook Pro -2015 for my presentations. I use the VGA or HDMI for projector, remote mouse (usb) and audio jack for the audio output.

The prospect of loosing all the connections in going to the MacBook (for easy of travel) is rather daunting.

I would appreciate some advice on the change over (what accessories would I bet need) and if the decision would be a wise one? In fact, moving to the 2017 MacBook Pro would also pose me the same issues on hardware connections.
