Favorites option for the watch dock only shows ...

Launching the My Watch app, going to Dock and then choosing Favorites, only the spinning icon appears. No apps appear. Watch is Series 3 GPS running OS 4.0. Phone is Iphone 7 Plus running IOS 11.0.3.

It may help to close the Watch app on your iPhone and then to restart both devices (normally), turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first:

• On your iPhone, double-click the Home button, then swipe up on the Watch app preview.
• Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
• Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Thank you, I tried as suggested, and am still seeing the spinner. Also, once there, if i choose "Edit" then click the green plus the app crashes.

If you have allowed time for all desired third-party apps to be installed to your Apple Watch, then I suggest next unpairing and re-pairing your watch:

• The Watch app on your iPhone takes a backup of your watch automatically when unpairing via the app.
• Initially choose to Restore from Backup during set up (most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions, such as Apple Pay cards, passcode).
• If the issue persists, consider instead unpairing and setting it up as a new watch.
