Airplay not working on Mac

Ever since I got High Sierra, I can no longer airplay on my apple tv 4K. With the new software, it takes forever before my Mac will even see my Apple Tv in the airplay drop-down menu, then once it does, I select it and it takes about 30 seconds and then tells me it can't connect to the Apple TV. I want to mention that it works perfectly on my iPhone 7 with IOS 11, and I have restarted both devices and even reinstalled High Sierra on my mac and unpair the devices and repaired them multiple time and none of it made a difference. Has anyone else had this problem?
