Trackpad doesn't reactivate

Hello All,

Recently I bought a wireless bluetooth mouse; Logitech MX Master 2S. It's working very well and I'm very pleased with it.

However, there's one issue with my MacBook 15" Retina (2015).

So in the settings I have it setup that when a mouse is connected, to disable the trackpad. But whenever my mouse is not connected (mouse is turned off) the trackpad doesn't turn on.

For example; when I turn off my MacBook with the mouse connected and later on the day or whenever I turn on my MacBook again, the trackpad still isn't activated.. I have to actually connect my bluetooth wireless mouse again, turn off the setting that disables the trackpad when a mouse is connected before I can use my trackpad again.. this kinda beats the whole purpose of that setting.

Anyone have experience with this issue? Or knows how to solve it?
