How to restore contacts?

Recently I logged out from my i-cloud and deleted all my contacts. When I logged in again I found out that the last synchronization I made was 2 years ago. That's why I lost all my recent contacts. I checked the info in my i-tunes and found more recent data (spring 2017). Then I checked contacts in my e-mail apps, nothing there. So I didn't manage to restore the latest contacts (last 6 month). But something strange going on with the phone. I made a call to my friend whose number I remember but it wasn't in the synch file. So I called to a number (+380.....), but when she called back, my phone already "recalled" her name and that was true. Also when I checked recent calls, I saw under one of the numbers strange line "maybe.....(name)" and that was also true. It feels like the phone not deleted contacts, but hid them. How can I find them in this "internal" memory?

Try going to www.icloud.com > Settings > Advanced > Restore Contacts.
