I find it really difficult pairing my Apple Wat...

I am having difficulties trying to pair my Apple Watch series 3 with my iPhone 8plus. When I try to pair manually over WiFi it never generates the 6 digit code. I have also tried to unpair my Apple Watch series 2 but to no avail. Does it have anything to do with the iPhone 8plus iOS 11.3??? Please guide accordingly.
