right menu pops up and mouse doesn't work

I'm on El Capitan on a 2012 MBP, and suddenly - after I had the computer at the Genius Bar on something else - the right contextual menu keeps popping up and I can't type.  I saw others had this problem. Changed keyboards and mice. Ideas?

sounds like the Control key is stuck.
