Macbook Pro 2011 Snow Leopard

Hi all,

I have a MBP early 2011 with Snow Leopard (10.6.8). I need this OS as I run legacy software but the logic board has failed AGAIN. The first 2 times, Apple replaced it, how they say it's too old and I have no options.

My questions are this:

• Does anyone know if I buy a used machine the same can I swap hard drives (put mine in) and away I go?
So many of these machines have been up-dated to El Captain or Sierra etc. I must have Snow Leopard as this was the last OS with Rosetta.

• Does anyone know of a good second-hand place I can pick one up in the UK?

So many used places are clueless and know little about Macs.

• Is it possible to buy a used MBP 2011, and 'turn it back' to Snow Leopard from say, El Capitan, Lion etc?

I dont know if Apple will let you go-back to an older OS. Perhaps I can "toast" the HD and re-set back to factory settings when new?

Any advice really appreciated,

Cheers all
Dave
