On iPad trying to send gift app to my granddaug...

Using iPad Pro updated to ios11.02 I purchased The Kitten app and downloaded to my iPad for when my granddaughter comes over to play. Than decided to gift her this app for her iPad. I entered my password to pay and send. Received box that says unable to send at this time. Not able to connect to iTunes Store. I have used internet and works fine. I have tried for 2 days not able to send.

That app may not be available in the US app store.
