airdrop is not allowing to be see

I'm trying to use air drop to share pics but when open on my mac does not show me the option to be discoverable

Your profile indicates you have a MacBook Pro Late 2011.  If that is still true, that would mean your Mac is too old to interact with iOS devices using AirDrop.
