top row of letters of macbook air keyboard play...

Recently the keyboard of my MacBook Air has been playing up.  Sometimes the top row of letters just won't respond.  Every time I start using it, I have to keep tapping the keys to get them to work, then eventually it feels as if it has 'warmed up' and they all work.  Then if I stop using the keyboard for a while, even just 15-30 minutes, they stop responding again for a bit.

Any ideas?  Apple Support got me to reset the keyboard (ie switch off, hold down Ctrl, Alt, Shift for 10 secs then reboot) but that didn't make any difference.

Very frustrating!   Or that might be "V fsang" when the top row isn't working!
