Transfer activity data from watch after iPhone ...

Hi

My iPhone was stolen two days ago. I borrowed a phone for the time before I can get a new one and set it up by just switching user data. My icloud information consists only of contacts, calendar, notes, and reminders.

The last backup of my phone is already a couple of months old, so that won't help much, and it's way too large, since my lost phone was 64GB, the borrowed phone is only 16GB.

Can I pair my watch with this new phone without losing all of my activity data? It's not just the two-year movement achievement streak, but also the progression during my training that I would love to carry over to the new set up.

thanks!

Hi

No, I'm afraid not.

Historic Health and Activity data is stored on your paired iPhone, not on your Apple Watch.

You will only be able to retain data that was contained within the last encrypted backup of your stolen iPhone, by restoring your replacement iPhone from that backup.

You will need to erase your Apple Watch manually in order to pair it with your replacement iPhone. Follow the instructions here under the heading "Erase your Apple Watch":

Be sure to follow the instructions here in respect of your stolen iPhone:

Also thanks for the steps for the theft scenario!

I already did all that. It was the first thing I did after it got stolen.
