Replacing battery  of a Macbook Pro 2015 f...

I own a 15" Macbook Pro 2015 (256 GB), which is out of the Apple Care Protection plan. I noticed that the batter to have bulged out a little and took it to an authorised service center.

They did a replacement of the battery and charged me INR 17,000 (~USD 260).

Since the battery was already damage and at a very high risk, I quickly paid the amount and got it replaced.

Now, I'm just wondering, is it a normal fee to be charged for a battery replacement, or was I cheated?

I don't know what "normal" is in India, but in the US (and elsewhere) replacing the battery of a 15" MBP is expensive too: Mac Service Answer Center - Apple Support (note that the amounts mentioned here are without taxes).
