How to recover my purchased songs

Hi,
   I bought different albums in past on the iTunes store.
I made a backup in an external HD, but unfortunately some files got damaged (songs interrupt in half way).
I tried to download them again on the iTunes store, but lot of them are not available anymore.
Different albums are not on the iTunes store anymore!
Now the only source of good files is my iPod. Actually the iPod songs are good and full.
I would make a new backup with all the good files, and from there create new libreries, copy files to my iPhone...
The problem is that it seems there's no way to copy the songs (all purchased on iTunes store) fromn iPod to PC.

Did someone had the same problem?
I spoke with different people from Apple, but nobody found a solution.
Could someone help me, please?
