iCloud and Pages problems

The new Pages/ios11 has transferred all my docs to the cloud.  When I attempt to move them back to Pages on my IPad they just crash.   I am a performance poet, performing sometimes where there is no internet and cannot get at my work.   Ideas please.   I am sick of having to work from printed versions.   Perhaps Apple should take note of that old adage "if it aint broke, don't fix it." I am seriously thinking of going back to Windows equipment in despair.

Hello,  I am sorry to here your having trouble.  I think this will help you move your documents to On My iPad.

1.  Open Pages.

2.  Select iCould, then tap the Pages folder.  You should see all of your documents that have been moved to iCloud.

3.  In the top right hand corner of you screen tap Select.

4.  Select the documents that you want to move.

5.  At the bottom of the screen select Move.

6.  On the Pop Up select On My iPad, and then beneath that select Pages.

7.  In the top right hand corner of the Pop Up select Copy.

That should move all the documents back to On My iPad and make them available off line.
