drop down menu appears without my wanting it

A drop down menu appears without my wanting it, every time I left click.  It often includes font or other unnecessary items when I am trying to fill out a form for example.  It just happened 3 times while I trying to type in this box.  It is very annoying and takes me 3 more clicks to get rid of it.  If I don't notice it, I keep typing and none of the typing appears.
