Sierra upgrade: jpg file extension missing on d...

Hi everyone.

I just recently upgraded to Sierra (low Sierra, not high ) and found that when downloading comps from Thinkstockphotos, the jpg file extension is missing. In fact, there is no file extension at all and pics download as blanks.

I've had to go in manually and put the extension. Is there a setting somewhere where I can change this?

Thanks,

B.

UPDATE: It must be a Firefox thing. Safari had no problem doing this.

Choose any one of the images, then Get Info (command-i), under Name & Extension be sure "hide extension" is NOT check marked.

Also try going to Finder/Preferences/Advanced and check Show all filename extensions.

Hello Macjack and Eric.

Thanks for your suggestions! I appreciate them.

So I did what you both advised and the same thing is happening. But I know now that it's a Firefox issue.

B.
