Setting up Ipad and its asking for a 4 digit pa...

After my dad bought his new iPad he reset his old one and gave it to me. On setting it up I had to input the 6 digit code for my iPhone. Then set it up using the iCloud back up from my phone and it's now asking me for a four digit passcode and I have no idea what that can be I have tried 0000 and 1234 and they haven't worked. How can I fix this please?
