2010 MacBook battery replacement

I replaced the battery to my 2010 13" MacBook a while ago, but after about a month, the system said it needed to be serviced again. I think I might have bought the wrong battery, or maybe I just got a defective one. I've been meaning to take it down to the Apple Store to get it fixed professionally for a while now, but now I noticed that my MacBook has become a "vintage" product, and it doesn't sound like it can be serviced by Apple anymore outside of California, which is far away from where I live. I replaced the battery once, so I know how to do it myself, but I don't want to spend more money on another battery and just have it go dead on me again after a month or two. Does anyone know who to go to, or which battery to buy, that's going to be a lasting fix?
