ipad air not offered ios 11

Our Ipad Air is on 10.3.3.

Settings says "THIS VERSION OF THE IPAD SOFTWARE 10.3.3 IS THE CURRENT VERSION".

I've tried this via wi-fi, and also via ITunes (same result).

Our other Ipad Air, and 2 older Ipads and 2 Iphones are now on IOS 11.

(We have never been beta testers.)

How the heck do we update this one?

if you are trying to this wirelessly try instead to do it though iTunes.

I think I found the problem: this one is an IPAD 4TH GEN and apparently those don't get Ios 11.

All iPad airs do take iOS 11 but the 4th gen iPad maxes out on iOS 10.x
