How do I Set the default playlist in iTunes 11

I love the new mini iTunes but I am getting fustrated that it does not always seem to remember the playlist that I am listening to .. instead it keeps reverting to playing 'Music' (which is all things musical). To clarify, it does not lose the playlist itself ... it only forgets that it was playing it

I obviously cannot delete or hide 'music' but I cannot see a place to identify a default playlist at startup.

What am 'I' doing that causes iTunes to keep reverting to playing all music? (I never go there ... too cumbersome)

I wondered if it is the iTunes screen saver ... but then surely a screen saver would not be allowed a screen saver to override my settings?

Suggestions most welcome!

Thanks.

Does anyone know the answer to this - or is it a bug that needs fixing!!?

Can't do it.

It's not a bug as it is designed to open to Music.

Suggestions here -> https://www.apple.com/feedback/

Thanks Chris. I've left feedback.

It is annoying and a change in functionality from v10. I have lots of old music and several christmas albums, classical music and more that I like to listen to occasionally, but have most of my favourite music in one playlist. All I want is for this to be the default playlist most of the time!

Hopefully apple will get the hint! Maybe even one of the designers will have spotted it!

Steve

I agree and wish they would take hint.  I just changed from Android and must state that this is not a problem on Android.  Of course my old android phone was the only non-apple product I owned.
