The keyboard delay .

when I type, the letters sometimes take up to a minute to appear. Also the letters seem to get rearranged during the delay. Is there a cure and how did this suddenly happen?

Is your iPad an iPad 3 and is it really still on iOS 7?

Have you tried a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?
