My ipod wont turn on!

So the other day i was jogging and my ipod slipped out of my jogging sleeve and fell and cracked. I went inside of my house and tried turning it on but it wouldn't turn on. I tried holding down the power button and the home button but nothing works. It will connect to my pc but it just sits with a black screen. I also charged it for 24 hours but it didn't do anything.
