delete apple id

I have two apple ID's.  I would like one!  I don't want to keep changing my log-in to use icloud with my ios device.  I am getting the new iphone 5 and wondering when I set up icloud on that device if that should clear up the problem.  Thanks!

So if I understand you correctly you would like to move your iCloud account to the other ID, retaining all your data, and stop using the ID you are currently using for iCloud.  If I have that right, this can be done by first going to Settings>iCloud on your phone and turning all data you are syncing with iCloud (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off.  When prompted choose to keep the data on your iPhone.  After everything is turned off, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using your other ID, then turn syncing for your data (contacts, etc.) back to On.  When prompted, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to your new account. 

 

This will not move your photo stream, however.  If you have photos in photo stream that you haven't backed up anywhere else you will need to save these before deleting the account.  If your computer is syncing with your iCloud account, you can download your photo stream photos to your computer directly.  If not, you will need to use an app like PhotoSync, which will transfer photos from your photo stream album on your phone wirelessly to your computer.  (iTunes will not do this.)

 

When you get your new iPhone be sure to set up the iCloud account using your new ID and you will be able to continue using this single ID going forward.  One more thing: you can only set up three iCloud accounts on your phone so keep this in mind when setting up new accounts.

Apple IDs can't be merged, all you can do is just stop using one of the Apple IDs.  This doesn't change with the iPhone 5.  Is the Apple ID you want to use for everying the ID you are using for iCloud?

NO!  It's so frustrating. iCloud ID is different than the one on the iphone.  I don't know how to change it so that I have them ALL syncing and sharing information.  THANKS!

Also, I have 2 icloud ID's.  My @me and my first generatipm yahoo email.  The computer is the @me and the iphone is the @yahoo account.  I'm not sure how to choose one as all of my troubleshooting only shows how to change a password.

The same thing except it is done using System Preferences/iCloud. Before doing anything, backup the computer.

There is no way to delete an Apple ID this is a policy of Apple and they are clearly not considering to change it . So although you might stop using it you can never ever delete it . It will be out there forever and if someone stumbles across it and can gain access you will never know and any information or identities or any other personal information in there will also be taken over .
