Itunes issues

I have had so many problems with iTunes since moving to Apple and support seem completely unable to help and are frankly baffled, so hopefully someone can help. 

I have an iMac, 2.9 Ghz Intel Core i5 and am running Sierra version 10.12.6.  Since upgrading to Sierra, installation of which failed AGAIN, my iTunes library is showing my partner's content and has duplicated and in some cases is showing 3 or 4 times.  I have been through numerous processes and spent hours on the phone with support, but to no avail.  I have been told by some at Apple that the issues I describe can't happen, but yet here they are and no-one can solve it.

Please help!!
