iOS 11 Music Player Stuck on Lockscreen

Ever since installing iOS 11, the music player will randomly appear on my lock screen.  If I watch a video on YouTube, iTunes, listen to music....etc, the widget stays on my lockscreen until I restart my phone..  It doesn't seem to happen 100% of the time.  I've read it may be due to bluetooth being on (even though I'm not connected to a bluetooth device.)  However, I don't understand why bluetooth being on would matter as it was never an issue with any other iOS.  Is there a way to disable it?  It's one of those little things that drives me crazy.  Having to restart my phone to get rid of it is a pretty silly solution.
