Please help! All photos from Mac gone.

Hello, please if anyone can help. I had photos organized by folders and using Picassa (i love the structure)

I decided to use icloud to have photos on my apple TV, and only uploaded some folders. I just realized all my photos are gone from Mac. I don't understand how is it even possible. Not in Trash, not in icloud, nowhere.. And I definitely didn't delete 20 GB of photos.

What can be done now, I even tried recovery apps and nothing is found. I also didn't use time machine (( Please if anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
