Problems connecting in SMTP in Mail after migra...

Hello:

I just bought a new 12" MacBook running Sierra (OS 10.12.6) and migrated everything from my old 11" MacBook Air also running Sierra (OS 10.12.6).  But now when I check my various POP style email accounts on the new MacBook it often can't connect to one or more of the SMTP servers of my email accounts.

Any idea what might be causing this and how to fix it?
