Family sharing has nothing to do with your carrier plan.

I read the link first. I want to set up family sharing but my Family is not located in same household and are on different iPhone plans. I am 66 and my family is separated from my household. There is no discussion of this. So it matters not? The discussion is all about a single family household with minors etc. or at least that’s how it appeared to me. Thanks for your help.

They all (6 members) must be in the same country as you are that's all.

After you set up as an organiser, you can send invitation to them to share your books, apps & music purchases.
