I can't press certain letters on my ipod, help?

I cant press the p or the q or a. and it takes me forever just to unlock it because the bottom part of the screen doesnt respond either. i dont know how long this has been going on. it started when i couldnt press the p but i just turned it landscape so i could and then the problem got worse where i couldnt press more letters  and i usually have to press something harder than other things just to ger it to respond.

please help

Pretty certain you're not telling us something here, like you dropping your device, or tampering with the hardware. If not, try resetting your device by holding down both the home and lock buttons for ~10 seconds or until the device restarts, ignoring the power slider. If that doesn't work, take it to your nearest Apple Retail Store.

Does the screen need cleaning? Dripping your eggy soldiers over the screen won't help you know!

To clean the screen, use a dry cloth a wipe it gently.

If that doesn't fix it, I'm going along with HuskieN's suspicions.

I am struggeling right now on my iphone 5s. Same as what you've encountered im trying to press the letter P but it doesnt work anymore. What did you do ? Thank you for your response. Very appreciated!
