Mac High Sierra update 10.13.1 will NOT install...

It periodically appears as a update, then after restart it says 16 mins to installation then message says some updates failed to download, this has occurred about 5 times now.

I see that you're unable to complete an update for your iMac. It shows up from time to time, but never finishes. I'm happy to help.

How to download macOS High Sierra​ -- Locate the file named "Install macOS High Sierra" from your Applications folder, Launchpad, or Spotlight. Delete the installer by dragging it to the Trash, emptying the Trash and restarting your iMac. Once it's returned to the desktop, update your iMac through the App Store again.

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac -- If removing the installation file didn't resolve the issue, see if the installation will complete in safe mode. Remember this when booting in safe mode: Limited graphics performance in OS X recovery or safe mode
