Logic Pro 9 in High Sierra

If you are using an earlier version of Logic Pro(9), is Apple offering any work-arounds to prevent the dilema of having to either rebuy the software or not upgrading OS? Being that Logic Pro 9 was a $500 software compared to Logic Pro X at $199, I don't find it unreasonable to offer a code for a free download.
