files from "All My Files" trasferred to trash

in order to "tidy up" my MacBook Pro (Mid 2009, ElCapitan) I have started to transfer quite a number of files from the "All MyFiles" folder to the Trash, I want to undo this operation, because I am not sure about what I am deleting (I haven't empied the trash)
