Why does Partition does not show up in Disk uti...

I have installed previously a windows bootcamp and deleted it. But my Apple recovery partition becomes bigger and I cannot claim the free space. I try to resize using disk utility but it cannot be detected. The disk that only shows up is my disk where I install Mac OS high Sierra (300gb out of 500 gb). the other 200 gb is missing or turned to be apple os recovery partition. I want erase it and make my hard disk one disk.  Can anybody help me. Thank you
