Really weird Copy/Paste problem

Dear all,

when I copy an unspecified amount of files (most >300) there is a very good chance that my mac (10.12.6) does not copy every file although I mark them all (e.g. by ctrl+a). However, the amount of copied files are changing, so if I for example copy 4000 files the mac does copy in real life sometimes 3095 or 3876 files or  different numbers. After a while it happens that it copies the correct amount... Very very weird
