iPad Download apps

I am unable to download apps from my iPad.  I'm running 11.02.  In settings, I have to log in to my ID account every time.  It will not hold or save the ID.  When i try to dowload an app, it asks again for my ID username and password.  It accepts it, and then indicates it was successful, but nothing is downloaded.  This only begain after the 11 upgrade.
