Photos sharing is pathetic

I was trying to copy photos from MacBook to iPhone and I connect through USB. After connecting through USB, I opened iTunes, but photos option was missing from menu. I went through couple of articles, but did work out.

Pathetic experience, very disappointed with apple. Complicated process to copy only photos from one device to another.
