How do you see the strength of your pencil battery

I picked up this advice from an Apple community member.

See if it solves your problem.

***** Pair your Apple Pencil with your iPad Pro.    The first time you use your Apple Pencil, take off its cap and plug it into the Lightning connector on your iPad Pro.    After a few seconds, you'll see the Pair button. Tap it.

After you pair your Apple Pencil, it will stay paired until you restart your iPad, turn on airplane mode, or pair with another iPad Pro.   Just pair your Apple Pencil again when you're ready to use it. Apple Pencil works only with iPad Pro.   Use Apple Pencil with iPad Pro then, you should be able to either swipe right from the lock screen and see the widget, or swipe Notification Center down from the top, then swipe right to see the widgets.
