How do I purchase a song from iPhone Music app ...

I keep getting the "Get 3 Months Free/Not Now" window when I try to purchase a song that I like. If I hit "Not Now" it takes me back to previous menu of song selection. If I click "Get 3 Months Free", I will have to choose a subscription service after it expires. It seems like the only way I can buy a song is using iTunes app on my desktop.
