Scaling resolutions on 2017 MacBook Pro 13" Tou...

I'm currently using the 2017 MBP 13" with touch bar 256GB

I was just wondering if there are any differences between the default scaled resolution of 1440x900 as opposed to the 1680x1050 aside from the increased screen real estate on the latter. Sometimes when I'm working through a lot of files, I find it helpful to get that more space.

Will the higher scaling put more stress on the battery, CPU, and GPU?
